KOUVOLA SECURITY CONFERENCE

The Kouvola Security Conference 2024 will be held for the fifth time this year. This year, the
event theme will attempt to answer the question “what does a safe and secure future look like?”
The topic will be addressed through three sub-themes comprising comprehensive security,
security technology and artificial intelligence, and Finland’s security of supply.

The Kouvola Security Conference is one of the cornerstones of Finnish security policy discourse.
It provides an opportunity for decision-makers and experts in the security sector, together with
citizens to share information and engage in dialogue on security policy issues.

In the past four years, the Kouvola Security Conference has established its position as the foremost annual discussion forum in security policy in Finland. The Kouvola Security Conference has an important role to play in promoting the conversation about security issues. “While the world is more unstable now, it is good that we get to build better understanding here in Kouvola”, noted Minister of Defence Antti Häkkänen.
